Individual Counseling
“I was lost and didn’t think my life could change. I finally made the choice to come in. Although I was nervous, you immediately made me feel at ease. Through my experience you helped me see life in a different way so I could live again and be happy again. You helped me realize it’s ok to be myself. I must say my experience was truly life changing. Thank you for everything.”

A large portion of my practice is made up of individuals who are simply looking to make changes in their lives. Some of my past and present clients have benefited from help with depression, anxiety, divorce recovery, work/life balance, grief, trauma, and ambivalence in relationships. Many just feel stuck and overwhelmed and are discontent with the direction their lives are taking.
Counseling is a great tool for learning more about yourself and the way you respond to different people and situations. Counseling can help you formulate a plan for getting unstuck or it can simply be a time for you to have a voice and be heard.
For issues like depression and anxiety, research shows that counseling, in addition to medication, is more effective than medication alone. If you are under a physicians care, I am happy to coordinate services in order to provide seamless treatment.
Because the therapist/client relationship is one of the most important aspects of counseling, I maintain an active referral list of other clinicians in the area in the event that we are not the right match. Above all, it is my goal that you receive the help you need even if it is with someone else. Contact me today to see about setting up an appointment.
