Issues I Can Help With
THERAPY FOR
Avoidant Attachment Style
Understanding your attachment style (such as avoidant attachment style) and that of your partner is one of the most important things you can do to help move towards a secure, stable relationship.
The simplified idea behind attachment theory is that we tend to fall on a spectrum with avoidant and anxious attachment at either end and secure attachment in the ideal center. Where we land on the spectrum at any given time depends on a host of internal and external factors including where our partners are landing.
THERAPY FOR
Anxious Attachment Style
Learning about your attachment style (such as anxious attachment style) can be one of the most powerful things you can do to help shape the kinds of relationships you develop with the people you are close to. Attachment issues are one of my favorite things to work on with clients because of the broad ranging impact that can be achieved.
It is tough but deeply satisfying work when clients are able to find security in themselves and their relationships rather than turmoil. Understanding the basics of attachment theory is a foundational part of building a healthy relationship.
THERAPY FOR
Anxiety Therapy
Struggling with symptoms of anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek out counseling. A study in the Journal of Brain and Behavior looked at anxiety worldwide and found the 4 out of 100 individuals in the world suffers from some type of anxiety. The rates were the highest in North America where 8 out of 100 individuals met the criteria for a anxiety-related diagnosis.
The study found that women were twice as likely to suffer from anxiety as men with those suffering from chronic health problems being most at-risk.
THERAPY FOR
Depression Therapy
Therapy for depression is one of the most common reasons people come to counseling. Depending on the severity of symptoms, it can impact all areas of a person’s life and can become quite debilitating.
If you find yourself feeling discouraged, stressed or worried and find that these feelings are having a negative impact on your life, you might be a good candidate for depression therapy.
